What is "Power Distribution System ?"
A power distribution is a system which consist of three key factors which will supply electricity from the start point which is usually known as incoming and it will send electricity to end users. This system is an efficient way for power to be transferred from the incoming to the end users no matter how spread out or out of each from the incoming.
What is a main distribution Board ?
Main Distribution Board : The MDB is an enclosure which will house the fuses, cuircuit breakers, and other vital components. An MDB panel usually has only 1 or 2 incoming power and it consists of a floor standing large enclosures which will include a busbar system, molded case circuit breaker ( MCCB ) , metering systems and current transformers. They are usually assembled in a pre-planned structured / meticulous manner which ensure maximum efficiency and try to minimize waste of power.
What is Sub Main Distribution Board (SMDB)
Sub Main Distribution Board : As the name suggests this is the second phase of the power generation system, the MDB will feed power into the SMDB. This happens when a larger power cable terminates into several small circuits in the SMDB. These are panels have similar principle in construction but its circuit is larger than an MDB.
What is a distribution Board (DB) ?
Distribution Board: The final part of the distribution system which is usually placed with the end user. It will contain some small breakers, earth leakage relays, terminal blocks and other items which are meant to control the power circuits within the house.
